John S. Cossum began his legal career as an assistant district attorney, spending six years prosecuting cases for the state. On the merit of his performance, he was then appointed as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. In this role, he served on the Gulf Coast Regional Drug Task Force, endeavoring to prevent illegal narcotics from entering the country through the Texas border.
In 1988, Mr. Cossum entered private practice to assist a wider range of people in a wider range of legal matters.
